Family Mediation
Helping families reach practical, lasting agreements without the need for court.
Family mediation provides a confidential, impartial and structured environment where separating couples can resolve important issues constructively. Guided by an accredited mediator, both parties are encouraged to communicate openly, explore practical solutions and reach agreements that reflect the needs of everyone involved.
Our Family Mediation service includes:
- Discussions covering child arrangements, financial settlements, property, pensions and all practical aspects of separation.
- Flexible sessions available in person or online, tailored to your individual circumstances.
- A confidential and non-adversarial process that promotes constructive communication and informed decision-making.
- Preparation of a Memorandum of Understanding and other mediation documents, enabling your solicitor to convert agreements into legally binding orders where appropriate.
- Support with MIAMs (Mediation Information and Assessment Meetings) where required before making a family court application.
- A process that is typically quicker, more cost-effective and significantly less stressful than litigation, while giving both parties greater control over the outcome.

What is a MIAM?
Mediation Information & Assessment Meeting
In England and Wales, anyone wishing to apply to court for most family-related orders is generally required to first attend a MIAM — a short, individual meeting to explain mediation and assess whether it's suitable for your situation. We offer MIAMs as a standalone first step, with no obligation to continue.
What we cover
Mediation services
We provide professional, confidential and impartial mediation services to help individuals, families, businesses and organisations resolve disputes efficiently and constructively. Our primary focus is family mediation, supporting clients through separation, child arrangements and financial matters, while also offering workplace, commercial, civil and community mediation. Our aim is to help you reach practical, lasting agreements without the stress, delay and expense of court proceedings.
Family & Separation
MIAMs
The required first step before most family court applications — and a useful starting point on its own.
Divorce & Separation
Working through the practical and emotional decisions of separating, at a pace that suits both people.
Child Arrangements
Agreeing living arrangements, contact time and decision-making with the children's needs at the centre.
Financial Mediation
Reaching a fair, transparent agreement on assets, property, pensions and ongoing financial support.
Workplace & Business
Workplace Mediation
Resolving conflict between colleagues, teams or managers before it escalates into a formal grievance.
Commercial Mediation
Settling contract, partnership and business disputes privately, without the cost of litigation.
Civil & Community
Civil Mediation
Independent mediation for neighbour, consumer, property and other civil disputes.
Community Mediation
Supporting neighbours and local groups to resolve disagreements and restore working relationships.
How it works
A clear, four-step process
Every case is different, but the structure stays the same — designed to keep things moving without rushing either party.
Enquiry
A brief, confidential call or form submission to understand your situation and check mediation is appropriate.
MIAM
An individual meeting with each party to explain the process and assess suitability.
Joint sessions
Structured conversations, in person or online, working step by step towards practical agreement.
Agreement
A written outcome both parties can take to solicitors, or use as the basis for a consent order.
Our approach
A clear path to agreement.
We believe most disagreements don't need a courtroom — they need a neutral room, enough time, and someone trained to help both sides actually hear each other. That's the whole of what we do.
Neutral
We don't take sides, give legal advice, or decide outcomes. Our role is to keep the conversation fair and productive.
Confidential
Discussions are conducted on a without-prejudice basis and won't be referred to in court, except in specific legal exceptions.
Practical
The goal is always a workable agreement — not a verdict. Sessions stay focused on decisions both people can live with.
